Elite Forces: Afghan
I received a message via newgrounds from a flash programmer named Badim. He's had some great success with his flash games in the past and is recently about to release his newest piece of work; Elite Forces: Afghan. When he wrote me, he had asked that I write the music to his newest creation. I quickly accepted and got to work fast. With a total of 5 needed tracks, 3 of them are done.
As soon as the soundtrack is complete and the game has been released, I'll upload some images and the full soundtrack for you to download for free.

The Album
Within the last few weeks I've come to the conclusion that it was time I try to make an album. All the songs will be new and fresh tracks that I will not release anywhere else. I think it would be nice to release this mostly as a learning experience. Possibly in the future if this becomes a Job for me instead of just a hobby it would be nice to look back and see what I've accomplished.
So, the goal is to start work on this album, which I have titled "The Blue Journey", within the next few days or so. This CD will have between 12-15 tracks. The idea behind this Album is to release songs that sound like they would go to your typical RPG. However they will not belong to an actual game.
I will definatly post any updates and short clips of the songs as I go.

Storytelling 101
As if I'm not already busy as it is, I've taken on another task. I'll be writing music to short visual stories done in a movie format. Visually you will see text that appears in front of color backgrounds that change depending on where the story is going, then my music will help keep the mood throughout the entire project.
The closest example of this are called 'Dreams' from a game for the Xbox 360 titled "Lost Odyssey". You can check one of these dreams out here: Hannah's Departure.
I'm still working out the details with friends, but this will definatly be a team effort. |
