About Me
Hello everyone! I'm Josh Kemp and this is my personal website dedicated directly to my love for music. I've been playing the Keyboard ever since my parents bought me a tiny Casio Brand when I was about 4. The first song I ever learned how to play is the song Greensleeves. I remember hitting keys until the song was formed and being so excited that I could play a song. At that time I was about 5. To this day I've never been able to read Sheet Music. It's like a scary foreign language to me. Thus everything that I do is done by ear. I've got a natural talent for tones and can generally play anything I hear within a matter of minutes. I can appreciate almost any style of music (though Country Music just will never settle with me).
I'm 25 years of age and am married to a beautiful woman. We have 2 children who do an excllent job of keeping us busy. Our two boys are 8 years old and 11 months old. We've got a nice place and have always worked hard to earn what we have.
Currently I'm attending College at COTC to get a degree in Digital Media Design - Gaming. My dream has always been to work in the gaming industry in some way. Naturally I'd love to compose music for any company who desires to hire someone who is obsessed with the musical side of gaming, however I'd be happy to work in almost any department. So we'll see what happens in a few years I suppose.
Besides work, family and music writing, I'm not left with too much time anymore. I've got a pretty good knack of destroying my buddy, Jason, at Street Fighter III: Third Strike; though that doesn't really take much effort. Really I try to write music, work on this site or work on photoshop projects.
Speaking of Jason; We decided a few months ago to work together and create KTRecords. It's a side project I have writing more music with him. We haven't done too much recently due to us both being busy busy busy, but we try as often as we can. You can check out our stuff here:
