MY MUSIC

With a good 100 + tracks in the works and new compositions being released all the time; this is a good starting list of tracks I've done. First I'll include the Remix tracks then a good chunk of my original work. I hope you all enjoy what I've done thus far.

REMIX TRACKS

Note: Click the song title to download to your Hard Drive.

Song Title: Breath of Fire 2 - Memories Remix
Original Title: Memories
Original Composer: Yuko Takehara
Source of Song: Breath of Fire 2 (SNES)
Remix Date: 2007
Notes:
My wife and I grew up playing the Breath of Fire series.
She always asked for me to remix this theme for her and I had
put it off for far too long. So at the end of 2007 I gave it a shot.
It ended up sounding pretty good and it made her happy.
(which is what matters most). GOAL!

Song Title: Through Schala's Eyes
Original Title: Schala's Theme
Original Composer: Yasunori Mitsuda
Source of Song: Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Remix Date: 2008
Notes:
With over a bajillion versions of this song I decided what
would it hurt if there were just one more. So, in a quick shuffle I
gave it a shot. This is nothing too fancy and it was worked on for
possibly a total of 2 hours. The ending is abrupt (which may be
fixed in the near future). Check it out.

ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS

Song Title: The Last Arabian Knight
Creation date:
2008
Notes:
I wanted to experiment with a new soundfont out there
called Squidfont. It has some excellent strings in it and can
sound very professional with some good reverb tweaking. The
theme is obviously Arabian. About 3 hours of work went into it.

Song Title: Sunny Seaside Harbor
Creation date:
2008
Notes:
The theme of this song is pretty much what the title states.
I was going for a happy and busy sound for a Harbor. When I
completed this song I had decided that adding the sound of waves
and birds would help add to the feel. I tested it out running
behind games like Ragnarok Online and Trickster Online to see
if it mixed well, and it did.

Song Title: Frozen Princess (Piano Solo)
Creation date: 2008
Notes:
I tend to work with the Piano sound a lot and try to find
a sound that hits close to the heart. This piece was done on
impulse. I had no idea what I was going to play, hit the record
button, and threw this together. I like it so much that I'm currently
working on a fully orchestrated song with this theme as the main
focus.

Song Title: The Journey Begins
Creation date: 2008
Notes:
The purpose of this song was to create a theme you may
hear in your typical RPG when your hero heads out of town on
their quest for the very first time. I tried to keep it simple to
give it the Super Nintendo Era feel.

Song Title: Underwater Observatory
Creation date: 2008
Notes:
I was inspired to write this song after listening to the Underwater
Theme from Donkey Kong Country on the SNES system. I wanted
to try my hand at a mellow and ambient style song that gave
you the feeling of being underwater.

Song Title: Path of Memories
Creation date: 2007
Notes:
This is another example of me pressing the record button
with the piano and just winging it. Once the piano solo was done I
added a flute to compliment the mood. Jason whined about me
not puting it on here, so here it is, just for you, jason.

Song Title: Loud Whispers
Creation date: 2007
Notes:
This is one of the few versions of this song I have done. I
decided to personally lay a guitar track on this version. I'm not
too pleased with the results of the guitar and have other ideas
in mind to make this song what I believe it should be. Which
is awesome.

Song Title: When Embers Talk
Creation date: 2007
Notes:
I remember being absolutly bored. I hit a music writers block
and couldn't write anything for weeks. So I decided to just hit a few
piano keys and see what happens. Well, apparently those few keys
that you hear at the beginning of the song helped me to toss this
song together in one evening. I personally like this one.

Song Title: First to Kill
Creation date: 2007
Notes:
This was a tricky one. I tried using quite a few effects to give
this a broken modern feel to it. The drums are pretty much in a class
of their own. You either love them for what they're meant to do, or
hate the sound. The melody is simple yet powerful. My inspiration
was
visualizing a realistic Unreal Tournament.
